The track sets the tone for an interstellar adventure, and while the influence of Muse is evident, Myopia manages to create a style entirely their own by fusing various influences seamlessly.
“Mad Song” stands out with its sharp, acidic energy, launching with a fantastic riff and an unstoppable drum beat that drives the track forward like a Valkyrie charge.
The energy is relentless and captivating, pushing the listener deeper into the album’s universe.
“Angel System” follows as another epic track that fuels the imagination, making you feel like you’re soaring through space, discovering new planets and galaxies.
On the more introspective side, “Hibiscus” demonstrates the band’s ability to evoke deep emotions while maintaining their signature mysterious and intriguing vibe. The track is intense, with a haunting atmosphere that lingers long after the music fades.
“Luck” is fantastic, with an opening synth that recalls the soundscapes of the ’80s, specifically reminiscent of John Carpenter’s work. The distorted bass is killer, driving the song with a pulse that energizes you.
“Gamophobia” takes a turn toward metal, delivering a powerful onslaught that feels like an avalanche, yet it also makes room for more ethereal and melodic moments.
“My Human” channels Radiohead, with a fantastic chord progression and an otherworldly atmosphere that makes it feel like you’re standing before an oracle speaking from a twilight desert.
The album closes with “Movements,” a beautifully nostalgic track that begins with a delicate guitar arpeggio and soft vocals.
But it’s around the 1:40 mark that the song truly transcends, as the keys open up infinite spaces and the melody becomes magical.

Myopia are a British rock duo that are constantly evolving, with influences including Muse, Metallica, Radiohead and Bring Me The Horizon. Formed in 2017 with Oliie Edgington (left), who was just 15 at the time, and drummer Elliot Hawkins (right), they released their first emotionally charged debut album ‘Living on Sixes’ in 2020. Following up with their ardently neurotic single Mad Song, the band have paved the way for a brand new era of dynamic sounds and aesthetics, as they unleash their second studio album Mind Party.
