Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Miguel Girão, I discovered this artist while shuffling songs on Youtube and I liked a lot how he plays his guitar.
Listening to Miguel Girão’s music, it doesn’t take us long to realize that we are dealing with a virtuoso guitarist.
In his surname, we can guess the Portuguese origins and the guitar tradition of that nation is very high and Miguel is certainly not inferior.
The accuracy of touch on the strings is truly enviable, to be clean on an acoustic guitar is very difficult and in Miguel’s songs I do not hear any superfluous noise… everything is harmony and beauty.
It’s really a pleasure to listen to the melodies of this artist, refined arrangements and excellent choice of sounds for an elegant result.
The guitar played in this way has always reminded me of medieval atmospheres where minstrels cheered up the courts with their songs.
I do not think I am exaggerating when I say that we are dealing with a great artist, complete and mature, ready for the big stages.
Prologue is Miguel Girão’s Album Out Now
Fantastic musician for distinguished music!
Quote:” ‘Prologue’, is my first studio album, which includes a selection of tunes from Scotland, Portugal, Bulgaria, USA, and some of my own original tunes.
This album was produced by me and Marco Silva, and it was recorded just after lock down in Portugal at the Atlantic Blue Studios.
This is a work of great importance to me, not just because it’s my first album, but likewise, I believe it reflects my musical persona in a way that no other record I’ve played/ recorded does. Furthermore, it also includes the participation of a few friends, without whom the record wouldn’t sound as appealing and concise s it does.
I hope, to everyone who listens to this record, embarks in a musical journey which, just like the arrangements, tunes and musicians in it, delivers a sense of balance and simplicity“.
