Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Matt DeAngelis. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and liked his compositional style.
The sound of this artist is very intriguing.
Even though Matt DeAngelis is very young he already seems very mature and proposes some well-thought-out songs.
His compositional style takes its cue from the past but manages to be modern at the same time. The chord progression of all the songs on his new Ep is refined and is never banal and obvious.
Honestly, I have not found flaws in the songs proposed in World I’m Comin ‘For You. They are all solid and it is nice to notice the passion that this artist puts into composing and performing his songs.
We are faced with a very talented singer-songwriter who has a bright future ahead of him.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
World I’m Comin’ For You is Matt DeAngelis’ Ep Out Now!
Refined and Mature!
Quote: “I am a 23 year old singer/songwriter from Southern New Jersey. My style has been compared to early Elton John, Billy Joel and David Bowie, however, with a contemporary approach. I began writing music at 8 years old while studying classical piano and doing piano competitions. I was also part of Rock University where I got my first experience in a rock band at age 10. At 13, I formed my first band and released my first video of one of my early songs. At 16, I began playing at local coffee houses and bars for tip money, while continuing write, with the goal of releasing a professionally recorded work.
Since then, I began working at a professional recording studio and had the opportunity to work with and record my first official EP with the legendary Liberty DeVitto on drums and Richie Cannata on sax, from Billy Joel’s iconic band in the ’70s, at Cove City studios in New York. I am currently playing at casinos, clubs and weddings in the mid-Atlantic region, as a full time musician, while continuing to hone my craft as a singer/songwriter and prepare to record my next single“.
