Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured band is Divining Rod and their Single Mason County Line.
Mason County Line is Divining Rod’s Single
As soon as I started listening to this band and heard the voice I immediately thought of Bruce Springsteen.
The sound of Divining Rod is much more country than that of the Boss but the vocal interpretation reminded me of the singer from New Jersey.
Certainly, these guys are inspired by classic rock/country and you feel that they are musicians with a great musical experience behind them. The alchemy they’ve created suggests they’ve spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room.
Mason County Line is a beautiful song, the melodic construction and chord progression are impeccable and the band’s performance is solid.
This is sincere and direct music with no strings attached. A band that succeeds with its songs to create real emotions.
Go and listen to them, it’s worth it!

Mason County Line is Divining Rod’s Single
Alt Country Rock band, DIVINING ROD, led by Hawaiian born, multi-instrumentalist Miyuki Furtado, who sings, plays guitar and drums (on his very own homemade suitcase drumset!) simultaneously! He has been playing his brand of soul-tinged Americana up and down the east coast along with his cohorts (guitarist/vocalist, Patrick Harmon, bassist Matt Svigals and drummer, John Malone). The band emerges, post pandemic, with an exciting new release recorded mostly live in 2 days. Melodic, rowdy and tender songs swathed in reverb.
