Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Main Primate. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his way of composing songs.
The thing that struck me most about this artist is that of hearing the melodies, similar to those created by the Beatles in the past, proposed in a modern key, accompanied by innovative sounds.
A very interesting and original compositional approach that distinguishes the music of this eclectic artist from the very first seconds.
The production is interesting, maybe a little rough but in my opinion perfect for this kind of genre, in fact, it manages to create a vintage feeling that adds even more interest around this musical product.
The melodic construction and the chord progression are never predictable and banal and the listener is entertained from the first to the last second.

Main Primate write hook-laden, smart pop songs with a dark soulful undercurrent; think early Flaming Lips, Beta Band or even Gruff Rhys.
