This is the music that bikers like. A sincere and direct sound that hits you like a punch in the face.
The thing that I liked the most about this band is that their sound is sincere, not seasoned with beats and computers. This is real music and these melodies have within them the sacred flame of rock.
Dull of Down is a musical project born in the garages and in the rehearsal room between beers and sweat on instruments.
The passion is evident and oozes from the sound of this fantastic band. A rock that recalls legendary bands such as ZZ Top and other artists who represent classic rock genre.
While listening to Lullaby Time and Raymond I felt the need to raise my arm with the horns pointed towards the sky.

Lullaby Time/Raymond is Dull of Down’s Single is Out Now!

Dull of Down are a Finnish rock band formed in Lappeenranta in 2020 by old friends Lasse Hyytinen and Marko Heikkilä. Heidi Saarelainen joined the band at the same time as a bassist. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock and grunge rock, but the band themselves call it simply “rock and roll”. The composition and lyrics of the Dull of Down songs come from Lasse Hyytinen’s pen.
Early 2020 Hyytinen sent demo versions of the material to a well-known person on the record company, Jarmo Kähkönen, who was excited and wanted to collaborate. In 2020, the band signed an international release and distribution agreement with Pilfink Records.
The band’s first double single release, High Heels (7/2020), received extensive radio coverage in Europe and especially in South America. Released three months later, the second double single Beauty and The Beast continued the same line and also received extensive radio play time.
Band’s third double single was released on 19.4.2021. Again, the single received good reviews and moderate radio play globally.
In the fall of 2021, the rhythm group and the couple Marko and Heidi decided they no longer had time for the band. So they left the band due to a lack of time.
The early of 2022, a new rhythm group stepped into Dull of Down. Drummer Kim Rintamäki and bassist Jari Kärkkäinen are dedicated to the band’s upcoming releases and gigs. Rock men both in spirit and blood.
