Surely we are dealing with an artist with a refined artistic taste.
As soon as I pressed the play button I was immediately hooked by these folk melodies that manage to mix the English and American style of conceiving music.
It is evident that John Tibbits has a lot of compositional experience behind him. His folk-rock has deep lyrics and is accompanied by top-quality arrangements that add an ethereal halo to the entire Ep.
The production is professional and the interpretation is impeccable.
I really liked the sound of the acoustic guitar which is kind of vintage adding even more charm to the whole production.
I suggest to everyone to go and listen to the music of John Tibbits, you will be surprised by his compositional skills.

Originally from a deprived part of south Birmingham (Northfield), John hails from a family of musicians and started writing songs aged 14. Having spent the last 4 years working in a white collar job in London, his lyrics speak to the banalities of working life, as well as romance, political cynicism and his passion for music itself.
His unique sound blurs old and new together, with his music taking inspiration from the likes of Roy Harper, Declan O’Rourke, and Frank Turner. He blends folk blueprints with alternative music tones to create a unique and signature sound. With a growing fanbase and some fantastic industry support, Tibbits is set to smash 2023.
Speaking about the E.P, he says: “This is a record that captures an array of themes: growing up (Stupid and Dumb), romance (Find the Key), political cynicism (Light of the flame), a passion for music (Our Moment) and embracing life (Make what you will). Me and Jak (my producer) had a lot of fun recording the EP, and allowed ourselves to experiment with different sounds, especially on Light of the Flame.”
