Let This Storm Pass is The Hill’s Single Out Now

This is a track that hits you right between the eyes, with a vocal performance so immediate, that it feels like the artist is in the room with you.

The raw, unfiltered vocals are mixed high in the mix, ensuring that every word packs a punch.

The addition of a female vocal adds sweetness to this nostalgic melody, creating a beautiful contrast to the song’s overall intensity.

At times, the arrangement and melodic structure evoke classic rock anthems like the Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses,” suggesting a deep reverence for rock music’s golden era.

“Let This Storm Pass” is a rock ballad with Americana undertones. The chorus is particularly infectious, inviting listeners to sing along and join in on the emotional journey.

Despite its melancholic themes, the song ultimately offers a glimmer of hope, reminding us that even the darkest storms eventually pass.

What sets The Hill apart is his authenticity and directness. His songs feel genuine and heartfelt, connecting with listeners on a deep level.

“Let This Storm Pass” is a powerful and evocative track that showcases The Hill’s talent and skills.

The unlikely americana project The Hill readies for the the release of a new single, Let This Storm Pass, just six months after it’s debut album.

The Hill is an americana style music project founded upon the songs of Jon Kowit, a former record store employee and indie label owner of Brooklyn’s Ascend Records, who had never released his own music before. Seeking a collaborator, Kowit was fortunate to reconnect with Mike Slo-Mo Brenner, an indie music veteran (Jason Molina, Wild Pink, Marah, Flight of Mavis, Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties, The Low Road) and the collaboration lead to the 12-song debut album, Get In Line, which Brenner produced on Forty4 Music.

The album has been heavily streamed on Spotify over across more than 50 countries in less than five months and is available on all streaming services and on vinyl. The Hill has also received some radio airplay in a few markets. Working on songs for a follow up EP, Kowit wrote Let This Storm Pass, which Brenner further developed. This song is also produced by Brenner and features many of the same contributors as the full length LP.
