Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lena Minder. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I really liked the magic vibes of her songs.
From the first notes I was immediately struck by the marvelous voice of this artist, an ethereal, angelic timbre capable of speaking directly to the heart.
Music that warms the soul.
The chord progression and the harmonic intuitions reminded me of the Beatles’ way of making music.
Music that looks to the past but manages to be modern thanks to the careful choice of sounds that range over more modern environments.
A very fascinating music that made me travel with my thoughts. I felt lulled by the refined melodies proposed by Lena and I abandoned myself to the vision of this artist.
Beautiful the second voices that caress certain passages of the lyrics accompanied by simple but effective guitars and sounds that appear and disappear like raindrops in puddles.
Beautiful also the video of his new single “Stay Around” that I recommend everyone to watch.
Stay Around is Lena Minder’s Single Out Now!
Magical music that makes you dream!
Four years ago, singer/songwriter Lena Minder packed up her life in her hometown Zurich, Switzerland and moved to Berlin. Since 2020 she has been busy planning and writing material for her debut album. Focusing more on producing, creating new sounds, and to develop herself as a solo artist.
«Stay Around» is her first single which has been recorded with Cameron Laing at «The Famous Goldwatch» Studios in Berlin. The song is reminiscent of some of her most loved artists, specifically «Feist» and «The Staves». Providing the listener with tender, effortless vocal effects, and rich harmonies. The static sound from the finger picking of the guitar guides us, while crossing our path throughout the journey, we are gifted with perfect, fleeting vocal textures.
With simple words Lena creates with «Stay Around» a wonderful tribute to togetherness and its evanescence. This song was written just before Lena decided to move back to Switzerland in March 2020, knowing what she would miss and leave behind when she left Berlin. Then the pandemic started. This changed all her plans and she decided to stay in Berlin.
