Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lemonade Shoelace. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of his songs.
As soon as I pressed the play button I thought of the New Radicals mixed with Empire of the Sun, these are the two artists that came to mind listening to the music proposed by this talented artist.
A very modern approach that feels the nostalgia of the past.
Some nuances make this music live on the edge between past and modern and it’s this particularity that makes Lemonade Shoelace’s sound so interesting.
I saw myself picking up some old, yellowed polaroids, and looking at them I recalled those good old times. This is what I felt while listening to this beautiful music.
The production is very good and the mix gives the right space to every sound element and the song breathes well in an enviable sound balance.
A beautiful piece of work that I absolutely recommend.

Lemonade Shoelace aims to load up the senses with colour, rich melodies and textures of sound that embrace the last 50 years of popular music. The tracks are written, recorded and produced entirely in a small home studio by one person, delivered in a classic yet futuristic style.
This is the project of 23 year old Ruairí Richman, a graduate of the BIMM institute in Dublin and a native of Newcastle, Co. Down.
