This band offers a powerful and epic sound.
As soon as I hit the play button I immediately appreciated the sound intensity of Higgs Field.
A compositional style that is inspired by bands of the 90s such as Alice in Chains, Silverchair, Jane’s Addiction etc. but which at the same time manages to be modern.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding between them.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and entertains the listener from the first to the last second.
The rhythmic and melodic variations are very well thought out and the harmonic intuitions are fantastic.
I honestly found no flaws in this band’s music. A direct and confident sound, with no strings attached.
Go and listen to them, it is worth it!

Higgs Field is a 4 piece Alternative Rock / Metal Band from South Australia. Made up of Liam Brown, Kyle Gleed, Dylan Leggett and Bradley Frost. Sounding like a Grunge Metal hybrid, Higgs Field offers up clever music writing with an aggressive delivery. Adding elements of Psych, Blues and Stoner Rock, reminding us of the experimental bands of the 90’s but in the modern era.
