Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Koarla, I discovered this band on Spotify, and liked their rock sound.
Koarla offer us a very well crafted music.
Ethereal guitars à la “The Edge” accompanied by drums that push incessantly creating a very captivating groove.
The voice with its high but warm timbre at the same time contradistinguishes, even more, the sound of this band.
The melodies are sweet, dreamy but do not hide a more psychedelic aspect.
This makes their music very original because this “Grunge” nuance combined with a sound that reminds me of U2 is really a unique mix.
A very tight band that has spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to offer us a product so well done.
Even the production and the mix are very professional and every sound element finds the right space creating a perfect balance.
A band that I feel absolutely recommended that offers chord progression my banal and obvious that keeps the listener glued from the first to the last second to the speakers.
Water’s Push is Koarla’s Single Out Now!
A mature band with an unique sound!
Water’s Push is the first single from the prolific Chicago area band Koalra’s forthcoming 3rd studio album.
Keeping with the noisey and quick energy of their past releases, Koalra creates a song that is a romp through 90’s underground nostalgia recounting songs from bands like Superchunk, Sonic Youth & Dinosaur Jr.
