Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Kevin Rieth. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked a lot the energy of his music.
I immediately liked the compositional style of Kevin Rieth. A musical approach that takes its cue from the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
Surely we are faced with a great musician as the chord progression is never predictable and banal manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is very good and in particular the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes bane.
Kevin Rieth was able to combine different musical ingredients and make them coexist in a single recipe.
Refined music with attention to every detail that I recommend to everyone.

Kevin Rieth – vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass, horns, harmonica, charango, percussion Rob Hanzlik – lead guitar Gage Markey – lead guitar Jake Matthew Rivers – cello Aaron Russo – drums.
Kevin and Aaron met on Craigslist to form the Chicago-based band the Donderos in 2018. After Kevin relocated to San Diego in 2020, he built out a custom studio space with his friends in the band King Whisker for recording purposes. After many tough months of quarantine in 2021, Kevin conceptualized this project, and Aaron was able to fly out to drum on the tracks. Rob, Gage, and Jake are wonderful and talented friends who collaborated virtually on the tracks.
