Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Keaper. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the ethereal vibes of their music.
Are you ready for an interstellar journey?
For some reason this music made me think about space and the universe.
If I were wandering the Milky Way with my spaceship I would surely have the music of this band in my playlist.
Ethereal and magical rock sounds, harmonies that manage to open distant and unknown horizons.
Maybe is the airy reverb applied generously to the instruments and vocals to create this feeling of infinity.
A band that has certainly spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.
Excellent production and the mix that gives the right space to each sound element.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Founded in 2019 by vocalist/guitarist Ameya and bassist Julia, with the addition of band members Austin and Sam, Keaper is a Melbourne-based band writing immersive, guitar-driven music and blending it with visual flair. Drawing inspiration from artists like DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins, The 1975 and The Sundays, the band’s songs are recognisable by their pensive lyrics, melodic and explorative instrumentation and the introspective atmosphere they create.
Doubling as a visual art project, Keaper combines artforms to provide a unique style of escapism reflective of the band’s interest in cinema, illustration and photography. These visual elements are linked to Keaper’s music through a connection to place and emotion.
