Good Day Noir Family,
our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Pidgie and her album Just Breathe. I found this artist on Spotify and I was mesmerized by the rocking energy of her music.

I am really happy to have met this amazing artist.
Her album “Just Breathe” is a hymn to life. The energy of these songs goes straight to the heart.
No matter the problems life makes you face, the secret is in your attitude. How you get up from every fall.
Pidgie has been always fighting. Life has been very hard on her but this incredible woman with her strong personality and her smile managed to overcome any adversity.
Her story and her music must teach us not to complain about little problems. These songs show you that no matter what happens there is always room to make your dreams come true.
Just Breathe is a beautiful album that follows a coherent thread. The songs are masterfully produced and interpreted by all the musicians.
The voice of Pidgie is the icing on the cake as I can feel her rocking soul. This artist, even if she can’t run, reminded me of the Mustangs running free on the immense American prairies. Her fantastic soul is revealed through her music.
A wild and free spirit that cannot be stopped by a wheelchair.
Thank you Pidgie for your music, and thanks for inspiring me to be a better man.

Born with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Pidgie learned to self-advocate from her now-deceased older sister, who had the same disability and mentored her at a very young age.
“Life is like a GPS. You may need to find an alternate route to get to where you are going but, with creative perseverance, you will always arrive at your destination!” – Pidgie
Pidgie was a founding member of the Coalition for Disabled Musicians (CDM) and currently serves as its vice-president. She was co-host of a popular cable TV program and hosted her own live Christian radio show on disability and empowerment for two years.
