our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Jon McLeod. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his unique way of singing.
The music proposed by Jon Mcleod is very fascinating and unique. This artist has his own vision…take it or leave it!
The chord progression amazes for its simplicity but at the same time manages to be effective and is perfect to accompany his “different” way of singing.
A whisper that comes from the soul, in some passages his vocal timbre reminded me of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins.
The sounds are very refined and these twilight atmospheres are emphasized by the use of the strings and the effect of the vinyl playing in the background.
These Small nuances are able to make this music incredibly innovative.
Definitely an artist with clear ideas on how to propose himself to the public.
It’s nice to discover such eclectic artists capable of inventing something different, able to experiment and that are just guided by the magic of music.

The second release from acoustic singer/songwriter; Jon McLeod.
The songs take on a very lo-fi approach, both home-recorded during lockdown periods. A taster for what the album, released later in 2021 will sound like.
Themes based around observations and emotional responses to the current occurrences in the outside world… when isolation plays heavily on the thoughts.
