Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Joe Pope. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of his songs.
I started listening to Barricade by Joe Pope Feat. Luna Keller and the first verse reminded me of the 70’s way of composing music.
For a moment I heard Led Zeppelin but then in the chorus, an interesting melodic change made me think of Peter Gabriel.
Joe’s high and brilliant voice blends perfectly with Luna Keller’s. Vocal timbres that look to the past but manage to be modern at the same time.
A beautiful song for sure, you can hear Joe Pope’s composing experience and the chord progression, never banal or obvious manages to keep the listener glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
Very nice production that keeps under control every little nuance and the song breathes well as each sound element is given the right space.
Barricade (Feat. Luna Keller) is Joe Pope’s Single Out Now!
Talented and experienced artist!
Joe Pope & Luna Keller teamed up to write/perform their new song, Barricade – new to the air-waves March 12th! Joe wrote and performed lead vocals along with rhythm and fingerpicking acoustic guitar, with some percussive guitar stylization as well. Luna wrote and performed a wonderful interlude vocal solo and sang backing vocals. Dan Morris plays bass adding a fantastic groove to the mix and Yoed Nir’s cello kicks the song off and adds a haunting and beautiful glue to the performance.
