E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Jacob’s Fall
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Jacob’s Fall. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and was mesmerized by their sound.
I must say that the sound of this band immediately fascinated me. It is as if I have known their music for a long time and their melodies spoke directly to my heart and soul.
A sound that made me think of the legendary Type O Negative. Epic, crepuscular rock with gothic and industrial overtones that make it truly mysterious and hypnotic.
The chord progression and musical arrangements are fantastic, surely we are faced with great musicians with a great compositional experience behind them. The music of Jacob’s Fall, while being powerful and profound, hides a romanticism and an engaging sweetness.
This is a prerogative of many German bands if we think for example of the Scorpions and some Rammstein ballads it is evident that moving melodic progressions are part of the German compositional method.
An incredible discovery that I recommend to everyone.

“Escape The Gravity” is taken from Jacob’s Fall’s album “The War We Miss?” one of the most amazing, touching and captivating German rock albums of recent years. Jacob’s Fall is sometimes playful, then sinfully counterintuitive, sometimes theatrical, always atmospheric, then somber and melancholic. Driving and crisp, symphonic and expansive, sluggish and dipped in the deepest minor, also carried by a strong voice of the German music scene.
