our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Jack Wakeman & The Dreamstriders. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I his their compositional style.
The sound proposed by this artist is interesting. A music that takes its cue from the past, in some passages it reminded me of 80’s rock. Very airy ethereal melodies and arrangements that can make you travel with your imagination.
A never predictable and banal chord progression that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Harmonic intuitions and a refined choice of sounds are the strong points of the music of this talented artist.
The song flows well from the beginning to the end and I honestly found no flaws in the sound proposed by this artist who in my opinion is mature to hit the big stages around the world.

Visions is a song of apocalyptic optimism, written as a reaction to the yearning for a better life caused by social isolation, anxieties and uncertainty about the future. Written by Jack during a personal identity crisis, realising that things in his life could be better than they were.
As well as being a personal song, the message of Visions goes beyond the individual and echoes out to a wider picture of needing societal change. In a time of constant government failures we all yearn for better lives in the hopes that a brighter future is on the horizon even when the world is at it’s darkest, Visions is a song of hope.
