our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Aggressive Soccer Moms and their single Aggressive. I found this Duo on Spotify and I liked the retro vibes of their music.

The vintage style proposed by this duo made me take a leap into the past.
We are certainly dealing with experienced musicians with a developed artistic taste.
Although the influences are evident, Aggressive Soccer Moms have managed to mix these musical ingredients in an original way. This allowed them to create a unique style. Their music lives in its own limbo.
The singer’s voice is very interesting and somehow manages to speak directly to the listener’s soul. A vocal timbre that recalls that of Robert Smith of the Cure.
The production is a bit rough and I really appreciated this artistic choice as it makes this music even more intriguing and sincere.
A nice find…music for people of the night.

It’s Not Love is Aggressive Soccer Moms’ New Single | Edgar Allan Poets
Aggressive Soccer Moms is a Lo-Fi Post Punk duo from Stockholm, Sweden. “ASM” was formed in 2018 and concists of Anders Bergström and Thomas Wahlström. They both have their roots in the early punk movement of the late Seventies.
They are celebrating their 4th anniversary by releasing their sixth album, “All You Need”, on May 26th. The album is preceded by the single, “It’s Not Love”.
The minimalism has become less minimalistic but the monotony remains. On “All You Need” they have added some truly black streaks; it’s darker and more dramatic than the previous five albums. And “It’s Not Love” is a good example of that.
