Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Rhys Tranter in the past but this artist is back with a new Ep and I want to share my opinion about it.
Isolation Flow is Rhys Tranter’s Ep Out Now
This artist really has a lot of creativity and talent and continues to produce songs of excellent quality.
Isolation Flow are 26 intense minutes that make you feel mixed emotions. Some tracks are energetic while others are more introspective.
This Ep shows Rhys Tranter’s compositional range. Mythical reminded me, in some moments, of the Beatles while the song that gives the title to the Ep is a track more towards the melodies of U2 in my opinion.
However, the Ep is solid and follows a coherent thread. Nostalgic and intriguing with deep lyrics that prove that this artist has something to say.
I was also impressed by Faith Healing which is a darker twilight tune and Steady On which is a beautiful ballad with an impressive guitar solo at the end.
A fantastic Ep that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.
Isolation Flow is Rhys Tranter’s Ep Out Now!
Intense and Refined!
Isolation Flow is Rhys Tranter’s Ep Out Now
Rhys Tranter has been making headway as an artist with his unique perspective as a song-writer (think War on Drugs meets Paper Kites) and is ready with another EP entitled ‘Isolation Flow.’ Rhys again partnered up with producer Mat Leppanen at The Animal Farm Music when living in Melbourne to complete the EP. Whilst the EP still has the same lush sonic soundscapes as their prior work together, the song-writing and production has grown even stronger, and is filtered through an 80s synth lens. Rhys describes the lead single and title track from the EP ‘Isolation Flow’ as: “having stronger pop sensibilities and a fun synth hook. Whilst the lyrics are clearly influenced by the pandemic and mental health challenges, I hope people can hear some of the playfulness in the lyrics that perhaps wasn’t as present on my prior work.“
