Giardini Oort is the musical project created to provide a sanctuary of relaxation, meditation, and mental serenity through the power of music. Our intentionally immersive soundscapes blend elements of ambient, downtempo, LO-FI, and chill-out genres, while also incorporating industrial and post-rock influences.
At the heart of our compositions are the mesmerizing sounds of specialized meditation percussion instruments, such as the handpan and RAV VAST, harmoniously accompanied by a symphony of bells, Tibetan singing bowls, and the enchanting HAPI drum. Each composition is a labor of love, meticulously composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andrea “Andy” Para, whose extensive background as a percussionist spans the rich tapestry of world music, including congas, bongos, tablas, and the cajon. Over the years, Andy’s musical journey has evolved to encompass drums, guitar, piano, metal drums, and the art of musical composition itself.
Inspired by modern musical visionaries like Boards of Canada, Radiohead, Trent Reznor, Maria Dahlstrom, and Sigur Ros, BALTHVS, Giardini Oort seeks to create an auditory haven where listeners can immerse themselves in the soothing embrace of music, transcending the boundaries of time and space.
