Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Hotel California. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his way of composing music.
As soon as I hit the play button, I immediately liked the timbre of this artist’s voice.
A way of composing music that reminded me of the ’70s, I heard shades of Bowie and the Rolling Stones.
Songs that grow slowly managing to hold the listener’s attention from the first to the last second.
Light and continuous harmonic variations enrich the chord progression and make this music never banal.
I really liked the sound world created by Daniel Bewernick-Green aka Hotel California, helped on drums and bass by Carl Albrecht, and in the mastering process by Jörn Brodersen.
Mature music that winks at the past but manages to be modern for the very intelligent choice of sounds used in the production.
An excellent discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Let’s hit the road and get carried away to a place called Hotel California! We all know Hotel California by the Eagles. Some might think this title is way too popular to name a band after it? Maybe, but we like it really much and named our band in 2009 after it.
Back then we recorded one nice album called „The New Sound Of Folk“. It’s an album people still listen to today. So in 2019 Daniel decided to write new songs, tunes that wanna take you somewhere, especially when you are driving your car.
