Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Ophelia’s Eye in the past but this great band is back with their debut album and I want to share my thoughts about it.
These guys are here to rock, their debut album “Hopeless World” hits you straight like a punch in the face.
The powerful and epic sound is supported by an amazing vocal interpretation. It is evident that we are dealing with very high quality musicians.
The chord progression and melodic lines are never predictable and banal and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Ophelia’s Eye certainly spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable musical chemistry.
Honestly I found no fault with this album, all the songs are solid. The recording is professional, the execution is flawless.
This band in my opinion is mature and ready to entertain the masses around the world.
Ophelia’s Eye are true professionals as not only the music but also how they present themselves on a graphic and visual level is absolutely cared for in every detail.
They will be able to stand out from the crowd, I’m sure about that.
Hopeless World is Ophelia’s Eye’s Album Out Now!
Powerful and Unique!
Ophelia’s Eye is based on Olimpia’s Eyes from the novel “The Sandman” by E.T.A. Hofmann. Olimpia for us is a characterization for the goal we want to achieve with our music:
In the course of the book, Nathaniel’s perception of Olimpia changes as he observes her through a pocket lens in her room: “But as he looked sharper and sharper through the glass, it was as if moist moonbeams were rising in Olimpia’s eyes. It seemed as if only now the sight was ignited; more and more vividly and vividly the glances flamed.”
And toward the end of the story, Nathanel is enchanted by Olimpia. He calls her “heavenly-beautiful,” admires her every day, and is desperate and driven by longing.
We, too, want to “enflame” the audience, bring them to life and cast a spell over them. Through our songs the listeners should also lose the connection to reality – at least for a while.
