Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Hoodooleen. I discovered this artist while shuffling songs on Youtube and I instantly loved the vibes of his songs.
I met Hoodooleen with the song Little Johnny and was immediately intrigued.
We are dealing with a great musician, able to fly on the piano keyboard.
The warm and strong voice distinguishes the sound of this artist.
I was particularly curious about Little Johnny’s gospel atmosphere that mixes with more modern rock vibes.
It almost seems that Hoodooleen in writing this song was struck by light as John Belushi in the Blues Brothers.
An unexpected and violent inspiration. The passion is clear and can be felt with the emphasis in which he sings this song.
The simple but impressive arrangement adds even more magic to this piece.
Pure inspiration.
The video also is very creative, absolutely to watch!
Quote: “A song heavily inspired by the Book of Revelation though I am not religious”.
