Hello is Will Sims’ Ep Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
Will Sims and his band deliver an intense musical experience with their EP Hello.
Hello is Will Sims’ Ep Out Now
The title track kicks things off with a contagious rhythm that made me think of classics like Sweet Home Alabama.
What’s particularly intriguing about Hello is the introspective nature of the lyrics. They tap into relatable emotions—those moments of excitement and nervousness that come when meeting someone who sparks attraction.
It’s a perfect blend of upbeat energy and thoughtful reflection.
Axiom stands out as a more alternative rock track, and it’s possibly the highlight of the EP. The syncopated drumming adds sophistication, while the melody and song structure feel polished and nuanced.
There’s a touch of nostalgia, especially in the chorus, which gives the song a deeper emotional resonance. The message of perseverance against those who bring you down shines through, offering a sense of motivation.
If These Walls Could Talk is intense, driven by its urgent rhythm and a melody that pulls at the listener’s emotions.
Lovesick introduces a subtle Western vibe, evoking a desert-like atmosphere that makes it particularly captivating. There’s something cinematic about the track.
Sometimes has vocal interpretations reminiscent of R.E.M., delivering a strong, alternative vibe.
The EP closes with Will You Remember? a heartfelt ballad that strikes an emotional chord. It’s a powerful ending to an EP that leaves a lasting impression on the listener.
Hello is a well-crafted collection of songs that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a blend of rock, introspection, and emotion.

Hello is Will Sims’ Ep Out Now
Hello (the first single) is about the anxiety you feel when you first meet someone. Axiom, in turn, is about the principle of not allowing people to drag you down, despite how you might feel about them. Both these songs were incepted in other projects but weren’t finished until many years later.
Joe Ruggiero plays guitar and bass, Christopher Frick plays keys and piano, Collin Athas and Vasco Ramos provided background vocals, Jack O’Connell played drums as well as recording, mixing and producing the EP.
Baltimore-based alternative rock and pop artist, Will Sims, creates themes that focus strongly on both romantic and social relationships, and the difficulties faced in our modern society. His rich, powerful music reaches out to connect on a personal level while still maintaining infectious components that make his songs stick in your head.
