Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Anne Bennett in the past but this eclectic artist is out now with a new single and I want to share my opinion about it.
Here we go, another great song from this charming artist.
The hypnotic and sinuous voice captivates you from the very first notes and I felt like Ulysses when he was bewitched by the Mermaids in his odyssey.
The new single ‘Hell Couldn’t Keep Me’ takes its cue from traditional American music and suddenly I found myself escaping through the Louisiana swamps like a renegade seeking freedom.
This song brings with it something ancestral. The slightly megaphonic voice creates a very special atmosphere that brings you into the sound.
The regular cadence manages to kidnap you and literally transports you to another reality.
A great song, very well thought out, by this great artist that never ceases to amaze.
Hell Couldn’t Keep Me is Anne Bennett’s Single Out Now!
Traditional Vibes!
Quote: “I wrote “Hell Couldn’t Keep Me” because I was tired of being knocked down by certain people in my life. This song is my way of giving them the middle finger. No matter how hard you try to push me down, I will push through, because I never give up. I am more relentless than Satan himself. So powerful that Hell can’t even keep me underground.”
