Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Death of Death and their new single Heart of Glass. I found this band on Spotify and their music made me see the world in black and white.

Before being able to write a single word I needed some time to metabolize the music of this band. I was left speechless with my eyes wide open.
I liked everything about this musical project. Philosophy and artistic vision. It is not easy to find music that speaks directly to your heart and soul … but this was love at first ‘hearing’.
The interpretation and execution are masterful. The singer’s voice is perfect for the genre and above all Heart of Glass is a fantastic song.
The pandemic has also done some good. In fact, this musical project was born during this hard period for the world. Only a few times I’ve been so excited when listening to a new song.
Death of Death seems like a band already famous all over the world. It is as if I have known them forever.
As a cherry on the pie, there is a magnificent music video that accompanies this magical melody.
Go to listen to them, it’s worth it.

Heart of Glass is Death of Death’s New Single | Edgar Allan Poets
Death of Death was born out of the first UK lockdown. The world going to shit, immersed in fear, people dying everywhere. Being indoors 24/7 aside from a weekly trip to the shops, wearing masks and gloves. Social media becoming the only window to the world and an ugly one at that.
The drive to create and explore the light madness from being confined to a room day after day is strong. Music gets written. New ways of collaborating between musicians arise. We still exist.
Death of Death is the phoenix rising from the ashes of its funeral pyre with renewed youth, the never-ending quest for eternal life, the inevitable symbiosis between organic matter, microchips and artificial intelligence in the quest of a better, stronger, more efficient version of who we are.
Vincent Dusk (guitars, vocals, synth) & Ben Jasper (bass), assisted by Baz Combes on drums, are set to release one song per month beginning with “Say What You Mean”, released in the second lockdown and setting the tone for what’s to come.
