I already reviewed Jake Bracey & the Mountain Laurels in the past but this talented songwriter is back with a new album and I want to share my opinion about it.
Whenever I listen to Jake Bracey music, I am literally mesmerized by his voice.
A deep voice that hides a nostalgic secret that manages to make you feel the lyrics with empathy. I was delighted to listen to this beautiful album and I was focused as a cobra in front of his trainer.
Grand Avenue Hymns is a coherent work where all the songs are solid and wisely composed.
In some moments the harmonic nuances reminded me of the Counting Crows band that I have always loved very much.
Jake Bracey & the Mountain Laurels is absolutely an artist to keep under the radar as he offers profound and professionally produced music.
A musical experience that I recommend to everyone.

This is the first full-length release for Jake Bracey & The Mountain Laurels. The LP, “Grand Avenue Hymns”, is a labor of love, sorrow, and retrospection that arcs with the hills and valleys of what it means to grow into one’s self, and the trials that come with that evolution. The things we’ve done, regretfully and otherwise, that lead us right to where we stand today.
