From the very first notes, the track draws you in with an intro reminiscent of an 80s arcade game, blended with a deeper, more intense melody.

This mix creates a unique vibe that feels nostalgic and forward-looking as if straddling two eras.

The chorus introduces a tribal rhythm, adding layers of earthiness to the track’s digital foundation. Then comes the guitar solo—gritty and dystopian, offering a stark contrast that enriches the listening experience.

The Afro-Nic has a knack for experimentation, effortlessly merging diverse influences and unexpected elements. His use of effects is particularly striking, crafting an alternate universe of sound that is as hypnotic as it is inventive.

The song’s hypnotic structure ensures you’re fully immersed, transporting the listener to a space that feels unbound by conventional music rules.

Get There Before Noon is a refreshing discovery and a testament to the boundless creativity of an artist unafraid to push boundaries.

Native Greek musician Nick Anastasakis, better known as the frontman of his indie-rock group, The Afro Nick, is debuting his latest single, “Get There Before Noon.” Previously recorded in studios across New York, this track is a rearranged and re-recorded version finalized in Nick’s home studio in LA. Growing up on the island of Crete, Nick credits the local romani people, “playing their guitars for coins on the Venetian cobblestone streets,” as one of his earliest musical influences.

Before settling in New York and then LA, Nick toured throughout Crete – an unusual feat for an indie rock band at the time- with his former group, Stray Blue. Since then, he has been releasing as the self-produced and liberated artist, The Afro Nick, a nod also to his own “wild and expressive hair.”
