Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Gents On Loan. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of their music.
A nice powerful and direct sound these are the first impressions I had listening to the music of this band.
Although these guys collaborated remotely to record this single they managed to create an enviable musical understanding.
A rock/punk without strings attached very well packaged.
A sound that recalls the punk of the late 90s and early 2000s. Fresh melodies that put you in a good mood and bring with them great vital energy.
The thing that I liked the most about this band is the passion they put into it when they play, you can clearly see it in the video that accompanies the release of the single.
We are faced with good musicians who prove to have great compositional experience.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Quote: “During the lockdown, many of us had a bit of extra downtime, and a musical itch to scratch. We were lucky to have buds who are able to collaborate remotely, during the times we were prevented from sharing the same space.
One such collaboration involved a group of 6 musicians from various bands from in and around the city of Ottawa (We Were Sharks, Iconoclast, Autumns Cannon, Valley Mountain, In Heat, The Second Glance, Joe Brownrigg). Because of the impromptu nature of the collaboration, I called the group “Gents On Loan“.
The result was a radio friendly, upbeat pop punk song and video, the closest thing to a live performance that we were allowed where we live, at the time.”
