“Forward, and/or Dust!” is the 2nd in a series of digital 7-inch releases from The Silence Industry. The initial musical idea behind the track was to travel back in time to the synthpop roots before “The Silence Industry”, but as things got rolling, the song took on a life of its own. The result is a stomping and percussive affair, layered with distorted bass and buzzing guitar leads.
The Silence Industry was founded in early 2007. and consists primarily of Graham Jackson, and others who wish to work with him on music at a given time. Since then, the project has released around a dozen EPs and albums in a raw DIY outpouring, never compromising in the name of convention.
