The first thing that struck me about the sound of this band is the singer’s voice. A light, sweet and expressive tone that manages to intrigue the listener.
The rock/pop offered by Express Office Portico is refined and every nuance is carefully considered.
These guys have certainly spent a lot of time practicing to achieve this great musical understanding.
I honestly found no flaws with their new single Forget The Name. A tune ready to climb the charts around the world also because the melody is catchy and radio-friendly.
A band that offers quality music and that has a clear artistic vision that will surely take them far.

Gathering members throughout the pandemic, Express Office Portico formed via musician adverts online, making the most of home working. By the end of 2020, members Tara Freeman, Billy Townsend, Reuben Tobolewski, Ben Phipps and Olly Walton had formed in and around Nottingham. Their lengthy name comes from the entrance to an old newspaper distribution office in the city centre of Nottingham. They offer a blend of synth-pop, indie and alt-pop.
