First Three Songs is Big No No’s Ep | Edgar Allan Poets | Indie Music
The music proposed by this band intrigued me. A slightly acid sound, especially on the guitars manages to bring out the uniqueness of the artistic vision of this band.
The melodies are refined and catchy with an undeniable rock vein.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room, as the sound understanding is great.
First Three Songs is a nice ep. A compositional style that looks to the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
In general, these songs give you a nice boost of energy. Honestly, it’s hard to compare this band and anyone. The vocal timbre of the singer is unique and the harmonic intuitions are very original.
Although this is their debut EP this band seems to have a lot of experience behind them, as their songs sound mature.
Go and listen to them, it’s worth it!

Let’s drive! Stockholm based four piece Big No No heads full speed straight ahead on their debut release “Three First Songs” – as the title implies, three (!) songs recorded by Christoffer Zakrison (Viagra Boys etc) in legendary studio Ingrid (PB&J, Amason, Lykke Li) and mixed by Andreas Söderlund (Niccokick etc) during 2021.
The concept has been naturally simple from the start: four friends in a room, songs written together and performed live, in the moment. Sounds coming from broken vintage guitar pedals as much as from distorted ambiance mics in the recording room. The songs, short but sweet, are constructed to not tell more when all is told. Direct and powerful with sweet pop songs getting elevated in imperfect performances. 1979-81 meets… something that’s happening right now. It feels good, so it must be good.
This summer Big No No will do a handful of dates in Sweden, awaiting the full debut album release scheduled for this fall.
