our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Fires Burn Low. I discovered this band on Bandcamp attracted by the wonderful cover of their new Album “The Remaining Landscape”, and I loved, even more, their music.
Their music is epic and energetic. These guys definitely can play and they have a refined taste in choosing sounds.
The sounds are real and intense, the melodies poignant and ethereal but at the same time proud.
Listening to their music you feel like you are on a drone flying over the boundless Canadian forests. A fascinating freedom that can also be scary.
The band always manages to amaze with very interesting rhythmic and melodic variations.
The sound a bit raw adds that something more to atmospheres that have the ability to leave you breathless.

Fires Burn Low is a Post Rock/Heavy Instrumental band from Canada. The songs from the new EP, ‘The Remaining Landscape’, have a unique overall sound which has been described as Old School and different from others in the genre(s). The intention is to blend our influences while creating something fresh to provide an enjoyable experience for our listeners.
