our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Faster On Fire. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music
The sound of this duo is very interesting.
A compositional style that reminded me of early 2000s music and made me think of bands like Blink 182.
A very catchy punk rock that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second with very interesting rhythmic and melodic variations.
The production is excellent and in particular the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
You can feel that Faster On Fire have a great compositional experience behind them as the chord progression is never predictable and banal and the attention to every little nuance is maniacal.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

North Carolina, pop-punk duo Faster On Fire has shared their infectiously catchy single, “The Basics.” Drawing influence from a relationship filled with ups and downs, and ultimately, coming to an end, “The Basics” describes a turmoil situation that was never able to meet the basics of what is necessary between partners. While the group is deeply rooted in the North Carolina pop-punk scene, “The Basics” explores their fluidity as artists and puts drummer/vocalist Alex Gabor’s writing on full display.
