Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Fall Town. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music a lot.
I really liked the irreverent and direct sound of this band.
A typically English sound, a compositional method that takes inspiration from the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
At times their music reminded me of the Smashing Pumpkins. A sincere rock, slightly acid that creates a sense of instability.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and the listener is entertained from the first to the last second.
I also liked how the album was structured, a very well thought out sound path that has a common thread that accompanies the Listener from the first to the last song.
Free and pure music that unleashes emotions, the real ones.
A very interesting band that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.
After The Crash is Fall Town’s Album Out Now!
Magical!
Quote: “We are an alternative punk band from the isle of Lewis, which is a small cold island located in the north of Scotland. We loosely define ourselves as alternative punk, but we like to mix styles such as power pop, alt-rock, post-punk and dream pop…to hopefully create something noisy and powerful, yet cinematic and dreamy at the same time.”
