Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Faded Shades. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their energetic rock sound.
In the music proposed by this band, I felt the nuances of a way of making music of the past.
A rock from the late 90s and early 2000s. In some passages, the vocal timbre reminded me of Dexter Holland’s.
I really liked the energy that the songs of this band unleash, an undeniable rock streak that is very contagious.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.
The guitars struck me, the solo, in particular, masterfully performed by the guitarist.
A band that offers very interesting melodic lines and chord progression that are never predictable or banal, surely a great find.
Second Guessing is Faded Shades’ Single Out Now!
Cool Rock!
Hailing from Kent, Faded Shades consists of Joe (singer/songwriter/guitarist), Liam (bass) and Charlie (drums). Since releasing their debut album, the band have made their mark on the London and South East music scene, growing their following considerably and earning a few festival slots along the way.
They are currently sitting on their 2nd album, recorded professionally at Big Jelly Studios after a weeks residency. Inspired by the likes of Lou Reed, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, Faded Shades present a refreshing, unique interpretation of modern rock n’ roll.
