Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Eva Gardner. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked her way of making music.
I liked the sound of this talented artist from the very first seconds. A compositional approach that looks to the past but at the same time manages to be modern.
A fantastic voice, a unique timbre that has the ability to bewitch you exactly like the mermaids did with Ulysses in his Odyssey.
Eva Gardner has a rock soul, free as a Mustang on the prairies. You feel that we are dealing with a fantastic musician with a great experience behind her.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and the attention to every slightest nuance is maniacal.
I found no flaws in this EP ‘Darkmatter’ all the songs are fantastic, maybe the one I liked the most is High Moon … it’s a song that makes you imagine the palm trees of Malibu moved by the pacific breeze when the full moon fills the sky.
An amazing artist to keep under the radar, highly recommended!
Darkmatter is Eva Gardner’s Ep Out Now!
Intricately Fascinating!
Sometimes history writes its own story in the form of music. From the real rock ’n’ roll mind of Los Angeles-born musician Eva Gardner comes her 2nd solo EP Darkmatter, available on both streaming platforms and vinyl. The six songs showcase Eva’s multi-talents on vocals, keys, bass and guitar, blending her 90s punk rock roots with more modern synth pop sprinkles. The songs explore her challenges, nostalgia and gratitude for happy distractions—all tied together through the album name, Darkmatter.
