our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Essie + Nap. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was mesmerized by their style.
How can you not be fascinated by a voice like this?
As soon as I started listening to the music of this duo I felt like James Bond and I took my Porsche and I started traveling aimlessly through the streets of Monte Carlo in search of the next bond girl.
A warm, charming and unique voice with not only 50 but 50,000 shades of many colors.
The musical support is also beautiful, guitars that push and grow with the song making it epic.
This music got me excited and gave me goosebumps and shivers down my spine.
A fantastic discovery that I recommend to everyone except the faint of heart because I’m sure they couldn’t handle the emotion.

Essie + Nap are an American Indie duo based in Philadelphia. The duo is comprised of vocalist Essie Riddle and guitar/bassist/vocalist, Andrew Napoli. The two are members of the Philly band Looseleaf and began writing together during the peak of the panorama in 2020.
