Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured artist is Claire Bigley and her album Emergence. I was moved while listening to this wonderful music. Thank you Claire for this fantastic gift.

This artist has a profound soul and a universal passion that allows her to compose these magnificent melodies.
Few artists manage to put their lives and experiences into music. Claire Bigley literally takes us on an ancestral journey.
Each track describes a moment of life. From the first moments in which we begin to feel the things around us until emotions begin to pervade our soul.
Love, loneliness, fear, joy you can feel all of this in Emergence. In 30 minutes you can savor the existence of another person. You can feel her vivid emotions living within you.
Claire Bigley’s creativity knows no bounds and her classical music studies allow her to make this experience even more fascinating.
A fantastic discovery that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Emergence is Claire Bigley’s Album | Indie Music
Claire Bigley plays the piano and keyboard on all of her music. Classically trained, she now finds herself playing in a more improved based manner. She quiets herself, sits at the piano and allows what she is experiencing to flow through her fingertips.
Emergence was recorded in my upstairs bedroom on my laptop using GarageBand (the one exception being Ancestral Blessings which was recorded at a live recording during a Celtic show at the Skokie Theatre in Chicago, IL). I used a keyboard for 6 of the track. The last track, Emergence I recorded on my acoustic grand in my living room. I’ve found using the keyboard especially effective as I’m able to cut out all background noise and connect via midi directly to my computer.
This album emerged from a group of singles I’ve released over the past year. I found that by putting them in a particular order and adding a couple of new choice tracks I was able to create a flow that hopefully takes the listener on an individually expansive and calming inner journey. As the world is increasingly volatile and chaotic, it’s understandable that many are stressed out and feeling at their whit’s end. I wanted to create a half hour musical balm to soothe the nervous system and inspire the soul.
