Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Einsam. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of his music.
The music offered to us by Einsam is very interesting, fresh and innovative.
I really liked the use of modern sounds that do not forget the past, in his music I heard that slight roughness that makes this sound product even more appealing.
The bass line fills the sound space in a sinuous way and like a snake, wraps itself and becomes inseparable with the kick and the snare.
If you let yourself go into this music you feel like a cobra in front of its master and you are slowly hypnotized and you start moving your neck and following the groove.
This music enters you and warms you up like a tea on a cold English afternoon.
In some passages, this artist reminded me of Demon Albarn and his Gorillaz.
Beautiful production, entrusted to the wise hands of Adam ‘Cecil’ Bartlett. Beautiful choice of sounds and especially impeccable mix that leaves the right space for each sound element.
Stuck Pig is Einsam’s EP Out Now!
Music ready for the masses!
All about inner and outer divisions, Stuck Pig is the second release from Bristol-Born producer and songwriter Sam Jackson’s solo project, Einsam. Written between 2016 and 2020 whilst living in Vienna, the song is shaped by a rising intolerance and an atmosphere of increasing polarity across the continent.
“Set watching the steady collapse of an island and its ideals from over on the mainland, with a mirrored inner turmoil, the overriding feeling was one of mounting pressure. The summers in Vienna were humid and sticky, punctuated by heavy thunderstorms. I was caught there, a bit lost trying to make a new home and still being rooted to England, and at one point all I could see on either side was division.”
The cover is a photo of concrete split by heat along the Gürtel in Vienna, the dividing rail line that splits the inner and outer city.
Stuck Pig was produced with Adam ‘Cecil’ Bartlett (PJ Harvey, Ed O’Brien, Jehnny Beth)
