Eclectic Dystopia is Disconnectica’s Album Out Now
This is music that seems to have arrived from a future where genres have dissolved, replaced by a “controlled chaos” that’s as refined as it is unpredictable.
The album shows Disconnectica’s experimental spirit. Each track feels fresh and innovative, pushing boundaries and challenging expectations.
There are echoes of the Beatles’ melody-driven songwriting, but the sonic palette is a kaleidoscope of distorted guitars, pulsing electronics, and vocals that sound like transmissions from another world.
“Somewhere Always” exemplifies this perfectly. The song blends dissonant musical passages with powerful, almost operatic vocals. It’s a heady mix that leaves you confused yet strangely inspired.
“White Noise” is another standout. The melody here is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, a head-spinning example of Disconnectica’s audacious creativity. It’s a song that will leave you both bewildered and wanting more.
“The Shape of Pears” offers a glimpse of Disconnectica’s Bowie-esque influences, particularly in the vocal delivery. This track is a beautiful exploration of the space between realities, its spooky vibes punctuated by moments of pure sonic bliss.
“Still Life w/ Zombies” takes a darker turn, with brooding atmospherics that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Walking Dead episode. The distorted guitar solo adds a layer of raw energy to this unsettling track.
Then in Letters to Santa, we have a homage to opera. A sort of reinvented Madama Butterfly that will blow you away.
Disconnectica has crafted a masterpiece of genre-bending brilliance, a work that will stay with you long after the final track fades.

Futuristic!
Disconnectica is the solo project of singer/songwriter Robert Webb from Melbourne, Australia. Discover genre-hopping under a broad alternative rock umbrella. Quirky songwriting reminiscent of Bowie and Beatles, with elements of rock à la White Stripes and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the downright weirdness of Radiohead and Zappa. At times playful, at times sinister, often both. But always unique.
