E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Dust
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Dust. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked how they sound.
As soon as the notes of this band started to hit me I immediately realized I was listening to a talented band.
The overall sound is mature and ready for the masses.
I really liked the timbre of the singer’s voice and also how it is blended into the mix, present, in front of the music basically in your face.
The guitars use a lot of reverb and along with some distant choruses create a very magical atmosphere.
Their music reminded me of several artists but no one in particular, I heard a bit of Cold Play, a bit of Depeche Mode but really these guys have a unique style and their sound is immediately recognizable.
The melodic construction of the songs is impeccable, the chor progression flows away without problems and the inclusion of harmonic variations makes this music always interesting and able to keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.

Formed from a love of English post-punk bands like IDLES, shame and Fontaines D.C., Novocastrian newcomers ‘dust’ are ready to unleash their atmospheric music upon the world.
Most of the band members are already veterans of the scene despite being in their early 20’s, but dust is the first project where front-man Gabriel Stove has taken the helm. A warm creative rush oozed out of his veins prior to the pandemic, and countless songs emerged fully formed such as the gentle yearning of ‘STARE’.
