Dan Szyller is a Brazilian guitarist and singer best known for his imaginative songwriting style and powerful deep baritone vocals. Dan is considered one of the best alternative musicians in the current ArtRock scene.
Continuing his promising career, Dan Szyller is preparing to release his second album, entitled ‘The Great Escape’, to be released in 2024. As promotion for the album, the first single ‘Drifter in the Sun’ arrives on November 24th in all digital platforms.
‘Drifter in the Sun’ means “wanderer in the Sun”. The concept and inspirations of the song come from the book ‘Into the Wild’ by Jon Krakauer, which tells the story of a boy who went to the forest and ended up dying, seeking adventure, seeking challenges and how to overcome life’s fears, his own fears. It is also inspired by the film Chasing Mavericks, which also talks about this desire to overcome challenges and adventure. “The single talks a little about my life, about having traveled so much, about always looking for different paths, where many of my friends stayed in the same life. So that’s my inspiration for this song”, says the musician.
