Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Drew Tachine. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his fantastic voice and music.
The magical atmosphere of this artist’s music immediately struck me.
For some reason, I associated his music with Gotye’s, a refined style that is not at all obvious and banal.
A minimalist approach where the musical arrangements are essential but wisely inserted without ever exaggerating and are able to create the right atmosphere for the whole song.
The vocal timbre and the interpretation of the words of the lyrics are beautiful, a very fascinating way of singing that manages to get the meaning of the song directly to the heart and soul of the listener.
The production is excellent and the mix in particular leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
A fantastic find that I recommend to everyone.

Refined and Magic!
Born and raised on the Jersey Shore, Drew Tachine began playing the drums the moment he could hold two sticks. With help from his encouraging parents, Drew began taking lessons at age 7 and started playing in rock bands in Red Bank and Asbury Park. While pursuing an education at the Eastman School of Music, Drew expanded his skillset by delving into the history and theory of jazz and classical music.
Additionally, Drew solidified his presence in the emerging Rochester DIY / indie scene playing with several artists including Geraldo, Great Red, and Sastrugi. Drew is now based in Los Angeles, CA. When he isn’t collaborating with other artists, he is looking inward to bring forth his own artistry and writing. His self-produced work gives the listener an introspective glance into his world; the production dreamy and ethereal, the lyrics subtle and thought-provoking.
