Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s Featured band is Doll Riot and their self-titled Ep. The sound proposed by this band is fantastic.
Doll Riot’s Self-Titled Ep is Out Now
An irreverent and wild compositional approach that hits you like a punch in the face. The sacred secret of rock runs in the blood of these fantastic girls.
It feels like Doll Riot spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such enviable sonic chemistry.
They managed to mix grunge, punk, and rock exceptionally well. I honestly found no flaws with their music.
A coherent and mature project … the Doll Riots are ready to dominate the world. Their self-titled Ep contains three tracks and they are all solid.
Their attitude is intriguing, their look is perfect and their music does not seek compromise. A band to keep under the radar as I believe they have a bright future ahead of them.
Definitely a great find.

Doll Riot’s Self-Titled Ep is Out Now
In 2020, four high schoolers from north county SD came together to form an all girl garage band. Initially covering various songs by idolized/influential rock & punk artists, Doll Riot aspired to write their own music.
In the midst of a pandemic unable to book shows, the teens found themselves in a rage of frustration and discouragement. It was shortly after the band’s drummer moved away for college when vocalist Elena Olszak, guitarist Ella Sauer and bassist London Kraus united with the younger but fierce drummer, Lillee Gillum.
More determined than ever, the group started playing shows regularly throughout SD county and it wasn’t long before the four girl bosses began the making of their wildly untamed original music. Inspired by real life teenage dilemma (breakups, psycho ex-girlfriends, stereotypical tendencies) and admired artists (Destroy Boys, No Doubt, L7, Hole), Doll Riot music will most definitely awaken your inner punk rock slay mode!
