DEMONS is Kinsley’s Ep Out Now
The first track, RUIN, immediately reveals the band’s unique identity, blending ancient, almost mystical tones with a bold, modern energy.
The song carries a deep, almost cinematic quality, evoking imagery of epic landscapes and far-off, mysterious lands. Its slow, deliberate pace and Eastern-inspired elements bring to mind the grandeur of something like Prince of Persia, with a hypnotic, expansive rhythm that sweeps you away into its world.
It’s a track that invites you to escape into your own imagination, a perfect introduction to Kinsley’s ability to create vast emotional and auditory landscapes.
The mood shifts dramatically with POSSESSION, the second track on the EP, where the dark side of Kinsley’s music comes to life. There’s an undeniable intensity to this one, a chilling and brutal energy that feels like the cold breath of an ancient, northern wind.
The slow build of the song mirrors the sinister forces it describes, as it envelops the listener in an oppressive atmosphere. The raw power of the track, with its heavy, pounding rhythm and grim undertones, pulls you into a world that feels almost supernatural, like something malevolent is slowly taking hold.
It’s a dark and relentless force, and as the track progresses, you feel the grip tightening, as if the song itself is gradually possessing your mind.
Next comes EXORCISM, which carries the listener deeper into this dark, ritualistic world. The track pulses with the energy of an ancient ceremony, with melodies that echo the intensity of a ritualistic chant.
The chorus of voices adds a layer of grandeur and mysticism, bringing to mind the epic, choir-driven intensity of something like Carmina Burana. It’s a song that feels personal and universal, like witnessing an immense moment of spiritual reckoning.
The production on this track is especially striking, with its rich layers and immersive atmosphere.
Throughout DEMONS, Kinsley displays an impressive command of dynamics, shifting effortlessly from slow-burning, atmospheric moments to intense, fast-paced sections.
The production is impeccable, with a clarity and technical precision that elevates the music, allowing each track to build and release tension at the perfect moments.
The EP feels both epic and intimate, drawing the listener into its world while maintaining a sense of mystery and grandeur. Kinsley’s ability to blend dark, ritualistic elements with modern production techniques makes DEMONS a unique and thrilling listen from start to finish.
