I already reviewed The Curse of K.K. Hammond in the past but this talented artist is back with her debut album and this is what I think about it.
Death Roll Blues is The Curse of K.K. Hammond’s Album
Pour yourself a generous glass of moonshine sit in the rocking chair and look at the weeping willow outside your window.
Hit the play button and fully immerse yourself in The Curse of K.K. Hammond’s music. If you are good enough to develop the cathartic process you will begin to see ghosts walking aimlessly in front of you.
This music carries distant stories and melodies intriguing and frightening at the same time.
Death Roll Blues is a fantastic album, a unique musical experience. Creating something sinister using traditional American instruments is a truly unique compositional approach.
This music reminded me of movies like “The Hills Have Eyes”…with that yellowish patina, rural American locations, and those horror vibes that keep you glued to the screen.
With this album, the artistic vision of The Curse of K.K. Hammond is definitively complete. This artist stands out from the crowd for a peculiar musical approach. She was able to mix different elements by placing them in a context that in the end is coherent and intense.
This album is a pearl as the interpretation and production are magnificent and all the songs manage to give strong emotions to the listener.
