DCxPC Live came into inception during the pandemic when live shows went to livestreams. We recorded the streams, and decided to release them as live albums on vinyl with covers that pay homage to the VMLive album covers of the 1990’s.
When the pandemic ended, we continued putting on live shows and started recording them and sought out bands with past live albums that were never issued on vinyl for reissue and had bands record live shows in their home states for release. Each album pre-order comes with a chance to win the corresponding VMLive album.
So when DCxPC Live Vol. 5 The Goons came out, all who bought pre-orders had a chance to win VMLive Vol. 5 Sloppy Seconds. We have since expanded to recording full live shows as well as releasing live shows from the past. We have also started a new line called Live & Dead with live on one side and dead (studio) on the other. Last month’s Moat Cobra album was our first release in this format! This current release is our first foray into folk punk!
